Pickleball Pro
Hello! My name is Cooper Zent, Head Pickleball Pro and Tennis Pro here at the Charleston Tennis Club. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Media from West Virginia University. The last name might look familiar to you if you have been around Charleston tennis. My dad, Scott Zent, is the Director of Tennis at the club and had a heavy influence on my tennis career growing up. Before I could walk, I had a racket in my hand and have been in love ever since.
During my tennis career, I have played several junior and adult tournaments on a local, regional, and national level. I played both, singles and doubles at George Washington High School and was a five – time state champion (3 singles, 2 doubles). I also played soccer for GWHS and was voted “Goalkeeper of the Year” during the 2016/17 season. I went on to play in college at West Virginia Wesleyan College before transferring to West Virginia University to finish out my educational career.
Within the past two years, I have really gotten into pickleball and found a new love. After learning the game, I could not get enough. I became obesessed and now, I am a certified Level 1 Instructor through Pickleball Coaching International. If you wish to schedule lessons or inquire about clinics, please feel free to reach Cooper at 304-993-4642 or by email at [email protected].
